Hydro power energy

WALT write an explanation of how a Hydro-power station works

The dam traps water and the reservoir fills up with water. The water then goes through the intake and rushes down the penstock.

The water spins the turbine quickly and the electricity is stored in the generator. The electricity goes from the generator to houses by power lines. After the water spins the turbine It goes back into the river.

Hydropower is the greatest source of renewable energy.
